What the Ride Is Actually Like

Our signature Red Sands tour covers roughly 25 miles of Baja-style desert trail through 14,000 acres of rolling red dunes and hard-packed desert. The whole experience takes about 1.5 hours:

• First 30 minutes: Check-in, gear-up, and hands-on instruction. Your guide walks you through the controls, the rules of the trail, and riding technique. If you can drive a car, you can drive a UTV.
• About 1 hour: Ride time. You'll follow your guide through dune bowls, desert washes, and scenic stretches with photo stops along the way.

The pace is thrilling but controlled — fast enough to get your heart pumping, guided enough that first-timers feel confident within minutes. Most people say the nerves disappear about two minutes after the wheels start turning.

Requirements: Can You Ride?

The rules are simple:

• Drivers must be 18+ with a valid driver's license
• No switching drivers mid-tour — one driver per vehicle

• No pregnant riders, and no alcohol or drugs before or during the ride
• Arrive 30 minutes early — late arrivals forfeit their reservation without refund
• No walk-ins — all reservations are prepaid and booked in advance

What to Wear and Bring

You don't need any special gear — helmets and goggles are included with every tour. Just show up smart:

• Closed-toe shoes (required — no sandals or flip-flops)
• Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dusty

Every rider chooses one form of damage protection — never both:
